When Vrindavan Came to NITSAN – Janmashtami 2025

Aarti – The Calm Before the Celebration

This Janmashtami, NITSAN turned into a little slice of Vrindavan. The morning began not with the usual sound of keyboards and coffee machines, but with the soothing melody of the aarti. The fragrance of incense filled the air, diyas glowed softly, and for a few precious minutes, work deadlines simply did not exist.

Everyone gathered around, hands folded, voices joining in the chant. It was the kind of start that set the mood for the entire day: calm, connected, and deeply festive.

As one of our teammates said with a smile, "This is the only time I’m early to office without coffee!"

“Govind bolo Hari Gopal bolo”, and truly, the joy of Nand’s little Krishna was felt all around.

Krishna Theme Dress-Up Challenge

This year, our Janmashtami celebration came with a twist: the Krishna Theme Dress-Up Challenge. Six teams were formed, and the creativity that followed was truly something to see.

There were flutes tucked under arms, vibrant turbans wrapped with care, mor mukuts shining in the light, and dupattas flowing like they belonged in a Rasleela scene.

Some even nailed Krishna’s mischievous smile. Walking through the office felt like stepping onto a movie set where every scene was full of colour and character.

Decor That Spoke Vrindavan

The decoration team deserves a standing ovation. Every desk had a little piece of Vrindavan waiting, a small cup of crunchy panjari prasad, and a beautiful peacock feather(morpankh).

These weren’t just decorations; they were symbols of love, blessings, and joy. The sight of the morpankh fluttering gently in the AC breeze almost made you imagine Krishna himself strolling past, flute in hand. The whole office seemed to hum with the energy of Brij.

Photo Shoots and Candid Chaos

After soaking in the atmosphere, it was time for the group photo sessions, and this turned out to be a full-on event in itself. Each team posed with pride, swapping between serious “royal” expressions and unrestrained laughter.

There were plenty of “wait, one more!” moments and even more failed attempts at looking truly candid. The result? A gallery of photos that captured not just outfits and props, but the genuine joy of the day.

A Thought from the Gita

"Samatvam yoga uchyate." Equanimity is yoga.

In the middle of our busy work lives, celebrations like Janmashtami remind us that balance matters. Work hard, but celebrate harder. Deadlines can wait for a day; moments like these create memories that keep the team spirit alive long after the decorations are taken down.

More Than Just a Festival

By evening, the desks were a little messier, the prasad mostly empty, and the morpankhs safely tucked into bags to take home. Feet were tired from running around, but hearts were light and happy.

The day wasn’t just about dressing up or clicking pictures; it was about coming together, laughing till our cheeks hurt, and feeling a little more connected to each other.

At NITSAN, Janmashtami 2025 was a reminder that we’re more than just colleagues; we’re a family that knows how to mix devotion with a generous dose of fun.

And just like in Vrindavan, where every corner carries a story of Krishna’s leela, this day too will stay in our memories as one of joy, color, and togetherness.
