Celebrating International Happiness Day at NITSAN
20 Mar 2023
International Happiness Day is celebrated every year on March 20th, to promote the idea of happiness as a fundamental human right. It is a day to focus on the importance of happiness and wellbeing in people's lives, and to encourage individuals and communities to take action towards achieving a happier world.
The goal of International Happiness Day is to promote the idea that happiness and wellbeing are universal human aspirations, and that happiness should be given greater priority in public policies.
We started the day by gathering together as a team and reflecting on what makes us happy. Each member of the team was given a piece of paper and asked to draw or write down something that brings them happiness. This could be anything from a hobby or a favorite food, to spending time with loved ones or enjoying a favorite song.
Once everyone had completed their drawings or writing, we shared them with the rest of the team. It was a great way to get to know each other better and learn about the things that bring joy to our colleagues' lives. It was also a great way to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere, and to celebrate the power of happiness.
In addition to drawing down things that made us happy, we also spent time engaging in fun and lighthearted activities, such as playing games and enjoying a standup event together. By taking the time to celebrate International Happiness Day, we were able to boost morale, strengthen team bonds, and create a more positive and productive work environment.
